Terms of Use

Effective: October 6, 2026 (version 2026-10-06)

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of CityNote (the "App"), provided by an individual developer (the "Operator"). By using the App you agree to these Terms.

1. Agreement

You agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy when you start using the App (when you tap the button on the last screen at first launch, or before your first post). If these Terms change, we will let you know in the App, and continuing to use the App means you accept the updated Terms.

2. Eligibility

The App is intended for people aged 13 and over.

3. The service

The App lets you leave short notes at real places that other users, or members of your group, can find on the map. Each note can be Public, Group, or Only me, and disappears 24 hours after it is posted. You can also add places to your Watch list to check new notes around them. No registration is required; your posts are tied to an anonymous identifier.

4. Prohibited conduct

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not:

Defame, harass, threaten, or use discriminatory language against anyone
Post someone's personal information without permission (address, phone number, photos of their face, etc.)
Encourage trespassing on private homes or property
Lead others to dangerous places or acts
Promote or advertise illegal activity, including selling drugs
Post sexual or violent content, or anything inappropriate toward minors
Post spam or unauthorized advertising
Infringe copyrights, trademarks, or other rights
Do anything else the Operator reasonably considers inappropriate

5. Safety features and how we respond

Automatic filtering: Notes, display names, and group names are automatically checked against a list of prohibited words when submitted. Matching content cannot be posted.
Reporting: Open another user's note and choose "Report" to flag it to the Operator.
Blocking: Open another user's note and choose "Block" so their notes no longer appear for you. You can unblock under My page → Other.
Action within 24 hours: The Operator reviews every report within 24 hours, removes notes that violate these Terms, and suspends the user who posted them from posting.
Because the App can be used anonymously, suspensions apply per account. Users who keep violating these Terms after a suspension face further action.
If you were suspended and believe it was a mistake, contact us at the address below.
You can delete your own notes at any time.

6. Disclaimer

The App relies on real-world coordinates and map data, and we do not guarantee the accuracy of location or map display.
The Operator is not responsible for content posted by users.
To the extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for damages arising from use of the App.

7. Changes

We may change these Terms when needed. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and we will announce important changes in the App.

8. Contact

For questions about these Terms, or to report inappropriate content or abusive users, email italyitalienitalia@gmail.com (Support).
