Post
Write a few words and stick them near where you are. Choose who sees it: “Public”, “Group”, or “Only me”. Notes leave the map 24 hours after they are posted.
Read
Notes stuck near you show up on the map. Open one to see the text, how many people saw it, and how many watch the area.
Watch
Pick a place on the map and tap “Watch here”. When a new note is posted within 100 m of a place you watch, it arrives in your Watch list. You choose whether to get a notification.
Groups
Create a group and send the invite code. Notes posted to a group are visible to members only. Invite codes expire after 7 days.
Staying safe
- Open any note and tap “⋯” in the top-right corner to report it or block the person.
- Reports go to the operator and are reviewed within 24 hours.
- No sign-up. We do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number.
Who makes this
I’m Taichi Akimoto, and I make CityNote on my own. If something is broken or hard to use, tell me by email or with “Send feedback” in the app. We usually reply within 2 business days.
